Every year, the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra organises Community Play-In events where they invite instrumentalists and singers of all ages and abilities to come together for an afternoon of performances and Auckland Town Hall.
This year, our very Arsen Sargsyan and Taisia Grigorian from our community music band “Tsirani”, participated in this extraordinary event.
The 2022 Repertoire included:
– Verdi Nabucco – Chorus of Hebrew Slaves “Va pensiero”
– Verdi Il Trovatore – Anvil Chorus
– Verdi Aida – Hymn and Triumphal March (Act II)
After a two-hour mass rehearsal lead by the APO conductor and choir director, the Town Hall doors were opened to friends, family and the public for a breath-taking performance.
